Our Terms & Conditions

Please note it is understood that if you pay a deposit, you are also agreeing to these Terms and Conditions. Please find below a copy our Terms and Conditions. These will be sent to you upon confirmation of your wedding booking.

The services to be performed by Florida Brides are:
• To provide you with details of your chosen venue, and Book your venue, (you will be notified of the venue, date and time in writing, this must be checked to ensure of no discrepancies).
• To book a minister / notary to perform your wedding service.
• To arrange and book any optional extras required. (Photography, Video, Flowers, Cake, Limousine).
• Arrange for our coordinators to meet with you upon arrival in Orlando, our coordinators will normally meet you at a location on a date and time convenient to both parties.
• To provide the address of the Courthouse and directions for obtaining your Marriage Licence.
• To provide the appropriate paperwork and delivery details for Photographs and Video, (if booked).
• To confirm all details of your wedding day - i.e. time of delivery for flowers, time to be at the venue and any other details deemed applicable by the coordinator.

Contacting Florida Brides
You are welcome to call or e-mail Florida Brides to discuss all questions that you have regarding your Wedding. Any phone calls should be made during our business hours (Monday - Sunday, 8:00am - 9:00pm). If we are not available, please leave a message on our answer machine, leaving your name and contact number and we will return your call within 24 hours. The clients MUST provide Florida Brides with all details of address and telephone numbers to which they can be contacted once they arrive in Florida, this includes any mobile phone numbers. All couples should call our Florida office on arrival to ensure there have been no changes to their pre-wedding meeting due to unforeseen circumstances.

Changes
If you require to change the date or time of your wedding once booked, we will endeavor to make these changes. There will be an administration charge of £50.00. Changes can normally only be made outside of 30 days; otherwise our cancellation policy will apply.

On your Wedding Day
Our coordinator will be at the wedding venue ½ hour prior to your wedding, to ensure everything is set up for the wedding. She will meet both bride and groom on arrival at the venue and ensure that the Minister runs through the service prior to the wedding, she will co-ordinate everyone in position - prior to the entrance of the bride and will be responsible for ensuring venue is left tidy after use.
Should the Coordinator be unable to attend the actual Event due to unforeseeable circumstances (i.e. illness, accident or death, etc.), it is hereby agreed that an approved replacement be utilised to manage the Event. This replacement will be a Professional Wedding Consultant or Designated Wedding Assistant provided by the Coordinator.
Due to any Acts of God (fire, natural disasters, storms, severe weather, etc.) should the Coordinator not be able to perform said duties, or the event cannot take place, it is agreed that the Client will not hold the Coordinator responsible or liable for any repercussions, postponements or loss of services.

Photography
Photographs will normally be developed within 5 working days, if you are leaving prior to this time, the photos will be posted to your home address.
CD’s are the modern day negatives and should be handled with care. We do not accept any responsibility for photos, CD’s or negatives once they have been delivered. The photographer takes the utmost care with respect to the exposure, development, burning of cd (where applicable) and delivery of photographs. However, in the event that the photographer fails to comply with the terms of this contract, our liability is limited to refund of monies paid.

Payment
Payment can be made by cheque payable to "Florida Brides" and should be sent to Florida Brides. 116 Crest View Drive, Petts Wood, Kent, BR5 1BX or by BACS.
American Brides can pay through a money transfer or money order.
A non-refundable deposit of £300.00 is required at time of booking. Full payment required 40 days prior to arrival in Florida.
If your full payment is not received within 40 days, Florida Brides, after notification to the client will cancel the wedding with no refund to the client.
Cancellation Policy
If your Wedding has to be cancelled, it is your sole responsibility to notify Florida Brides. The appropriate cancellation fee will apply.
Upon the proper notification and receipt of the event cancellation from you, any refunds will be sent back to you via a cheque, normally within 14 working days.
• Outside of 40 days of your Wedding Date - loss of deposit.
• Within 40 days of your Wedding Date - loss of full amount paid.

Changes beyond our Control
We may have to make changes for unusual and unforeseeable circumstances beyond our control, the consequences of which either Florida Brides or our suppliers cannot avoid. Examples are war or threat of war, riots, civil strife, terrorist activity, industrial disputes, natural or nuclear disaster, fire or adverse weather conditions or similar events beyond our control. In these circumstances, we will endeavour to reschedule your wedding day or location.

Insurance
It is essential that you have insurance. You are responsible for arranging insurance coverage that is designed for Weddings taken outside of the UK. Any breakages or damages must be included in the insurance as these would be your responsibility. (This includes the wedding location).
We will not be responsible for problems with photos and videos that are damaged in any way once delivery had taken place – you should ensure that this is included in your wedding insurance.

Wedding License & Certificate
You are responsible to ensure that you have the correct documentation for the Wedding License required by the Courthouse. We cannot be held responsible if you do not have all the necessary documentation and subsequently have to cancel the wedding. No refund will be given. Florida Brides are not responsible for undelivered certificates and you should follow this up with the appropriate Courthouse. We will however assist you, but any charges incurred will be your responsibility.

Legalities & Fees
If Florida Brides need to seek legal counsel and/or institute legal action against the client due to non-payment or any other reason, it is agreed that the Client will pay all legal & court costs incurred by Florida Brides. If due to a legal decision, the Client is the prevailing party, any monetary or punitive award is hereby limited to any fees charged and received by Florida Brides.
